Francois & Bambi (San Agustin Chruch, Hyatt Regency Manila)
FX & Bambi’s photo slideshow
28 October 2006
Bambi & I have known each other since Kindergarten. We were busmates then and became classmates a year later. We started hanging out with each other most of the time after that. Yes, we were the best of friends. But then highschool came and changed that, hehe. We had different sets of friends, and have grown apart. But once in a while we do get in touch.
So when she told me that she & FX were finally tying the knot, I volunteered to be part of her big day. She initially didn’t want me to be working and wanted me to be a secondary sponsor instead but I could never really picture myself in formal wear (boy, was Veluz disappointed haha) so she then asked if I could be the on-the-day coordinator, knowing how OC I am. But since I know coordinating weddings should be left to the pros, I recommended Jody Liwanag, who did an excellent job, btw. So I ended up shooting as a back-up photographer, which was what I really wanted to do π (Her mom got her friend, Mel Cortez, as main photog).
Anyway, I’d like to share with you some pictures that Karl & I took of my best friend’s wedding π
As 2nd photographers, we do not get in the way of the main photog during pictorials. But I wanted to shoot a formal portrait of Bambi so I asked her to do this one pose for me:
Is it just me or is this scene a bit funny? :hehe:
Giving away their only daughter:
Guess who was also there at the wedding?
Carlos Celdran, telling his walking tour attendees to make a wish, during the recessional.
Event styling was done by the talented Yu sisters, April & Karen. I love how they’ve setup the reception area.
They also did Bambi’s sunset-inspired bouquet:

To Mimi, I am glad I can share the milestones with you (from our UPIS days and beyond…) Hugs.
Hindi namin matanggihan si Mimi nung sinabi niya na mas-type niya mag-shoot kaysa mag-martsa :). We are so glad we gave in!!! Mimi and Karl knew exactly how and what to capture – down to the most minute detail. Thank you for capturing all the heart-tugging shots and the magical moments. You made our sweetest day the perfect one!
