Destination Weddings: Baguio
As you might have guessed from our blog, we just love to travel and we love shooting destination weddings. Here’s one from last week… Dave and Eryl who are based in Ireland got married in Baguio City.
Baguio weather was tolerably cold and pretty sunny. We had a lot of sunlight to work with as you can see from the detail shots below:
I wanted to shoot Dave’s preparations and portraits earlier so that we could have more time for the couple portraits before the ceremony but Dave had to destress a bit with a massage from Jhun.
Mimi’s portraits of Eryl:
We did the couple portraits before the ceremony to take advantage of the yummy mountain light.
We’ve already shot at the Baguio Cathedral and the St. Joseph the Worker Church. This was our first time at the Cathedral of the Resurrection and our first Episcopal wedding.
Baskets of ‘palay’ for the offertory:
This was also a first for us… a traditional Bontoc Wedding Dance during the reception at the Baguio Country Club Ballroom

Eryl and Dave are friends of mine. I got married 2002. Looking at their pictures, I wish I had known Mimi and Karl back then. I’d rather would have spent on our pictures than 5 extra pigs butchered for my traditional Igorot wedding. – luvim bilango

Hi Luvim, thanks for dropping by. In 2002, we were only using a 1.3 megapixel point and shoot. The 5 pigs was a good decision (There’s only 2 of us) 😆
