Gary + Sheryl (San Agustin Church, Coconut Palace)
My current reading material is Alan Webber’s Rules of Thumb, a collection of practical rules Mr. Webber has collected over the years as the co-founder of Fast Company magazine. One chapter dealt in reframing, “the art of seeing things differently, with your imagination at work”, and specifically tackled the question: “What business are you in?”
It’s obvious that our answer would be the wedding photography business, right? But following the reframe examples of the book, I came to the conclusion that we are in the Nostalgia Business.
I know it might be off-tangent but below is the wedding photographs of Doctors Gary and Sheryl taken more than six months ago. Years from now, after they have kids, grandkids, and have retired from their medical practice, I hope that when they reminisce about their wedding, they would still feel the love and emotion that they felt that day.
“The digital camera is a great invention because it allows us to reminisce. Instantly.†– Demetri Martin

nostalgia business – how true 🙂 i am so glad that you guys recorded our special day. the onsite mimi made is still in my laptop desktop and i’ve turned our engagement pics into my screensaver. david once saw the screensaver and got all excited and was squealing when he saw me and his daddy dan on the screen 🙂 thank you guys for that!

Dear M+K,
We are still in awe every time we see the pictures you took… nostalgia is an understatement. Your pictures captured what we felt on our wedding day and what we’re still feeling up to this day. Today and years from now, your photos will always be there to remind us of that wonderful day. 🙂 Thank you very much.

The vintage looking shot in front of the bridal car is gorgeous! The wedding topper is simply adorable. Would anyone know who design the gown??
