Enrico + Det (Roosevelt Island, New York)

When we were vacationing in the US last month, we were able to schedule a few photo sessions in New York and Chicago, including a post nuptial pictorial with Det and Enrico.

The sun has started shining in Manhattan and the parks were packed with city folk craving for outdoor time. As always, we wanted a laid back shoot, great light, and not that many people around. Good thing, Det suggested Roosevelt Island, a small sliver of land on the East River between Manhattan and Queens. You can access it via the subway but we took the more scenic route by taking the Roosevelt Island Tram.

Can we just say Roosevelt Island was perfect? It had nice views of the New York skyline, a small yet gorgeous park, and best of all, just a handful of people.
